Greece has the most mountains in Europe after Norway and Albania. In Greek myths, the mountains were created by the human hands of gods. Rivers, climate, and wildlife Greece rivers are an important natural feature. In antiquity they were worshiped as individual people. The ancient Greeks believed that river landscapes belonged to the world of the gods. Compared to the countries of Northern Europe, Greece has a mile temperate climate, but is a cooler place and more varied than other countries such as Italy.Greece has stayed stable over the past couple of years/decades. Vegetation and Soil Greece is mostly a mountainous country, but it has very diverse natural vegetation.
